8-7-25   THOUGHTS

“Goodness stored up” is our theme this morning.  This is for  “those who fear God”,   “His godly ones”,  “the faithful”, “all those who hope in the Lord.”   I love the idea of being held in the secret place of God!  The idea seems to be “shelter from the strife of this world, especially evil talk”.  Please help our intensity as we seek to abide in You.   How marvelous is the “loving kindness of our God.”    Hope in God and take courage!

Ps 31:19-24     How great is Your goodness, Which You have stored up for those who fear You,  Which You have wrought for those who take refuge in You, Before the sons of men! 20  You hide them in the secret place of Your presence from the conspiracies of man; You keep them secretly in a shelter from the strife of tongues. 21  Blessed be the LORD, For He has made marvelous His lovingkindness to me in a besieged city. 22  As for me, I said in my alarm, "I am cut off from before Your eyes"; Nevertheless You heard the voice of my supplications When I cried to You. 23  O love the LORD, all you His godly ones!  The LORD preserves the faithful,   And fully recompenses the proud doer. 24  Be strong and let your heart take courage, All you who hope in the LORD.

A Prayer:
Lord, may we always dwell in Your presence.  We praise You, we love You, we give thanks for Your marvelous lovingkindness to us.  Hear us when we cry.  Hide us in the secret place of Your presence. Help us to take refuge in You.  Preserve us in our faith, O God!  As Your godly ones, may we magnify Your glory in our living.   In Jesus’ precious   name...     Amen.
